Thoughts on Unifiied Messaging

I would like to get comments from those of you who have had experiences with Avaya Unified Messaging. Basically, I'm looking for "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly".

We are considering its implementation and would like some first hand user experiences as we explore this as an option.

Unified Messaging here is not unified messaging there, meaning that what one calls it is not universally agreed upon. If you are atalking in the context of Merlin Messaging, then UM is OK, but not a lot of bells and whistles. Basically, it allows the Voice Mail server to make a wav file of a voice mail, and send it to the owner's email inbox. It's OK, but not flashy.
