Does anyone know how redirect for those new tv browsers? They must surely have an appName / version tied to them.

Incidentally, this brings me to the question of what does everyone else do for these browsers? There seems to be little mention of them in the forums and on the net, but the fact is that they exist. I just looked at my site on one and it didn't work at all. Apparrently they use HTML3.2 and Javascript 1.0, which seems to be a very annoying step backwards. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm getting increasingly bored of programming the same site 6 different ways to cope with all the weirdness... but it keeps me in a job I suppose!

Any and all comments appreciated.

Thanks!
Matt.

TVbrowsers are the only thing that are worse than Netscape 4. Seeing as though I barely do anything for NS4, I wouldn't be caught dead supporting a webtv browser (unless 10k+ is involved :)

I know that a few of them masquerade as netscape. Go tot the indivudal site for each one you're worried about and their should be developer docs there for you. jared@aauser.com -

Idea: write a dumb page which does nothing but display the browser info and any other variables you can think of and open it up with your "sample" tv-browser.

You need to know what's there before you can check for it...

Well, I don't actually have access to one to look at any variables. I was just wondering if it's worth taking them seriously or not.

So far seems like a no!

Thanks,
Matt.
