Hi Group,

When I click on a folder or "My computer" I receive this error message:

This program has caused an illegal operation and will be shut down.

I wounder if reinstlling windows will correct it I also need to know if reinstalling windows will affect my documents that are allready in the hard disk.

Thanks

Do you have Active Desktop turned on? If so, turn it off and try it. I had a simular problem and had to turn it off and download the latest updates from Microsoft.
