This one has me stumped 2

Hi all,

Win98se dialup connection.
customer was at a new web site when things went wrong.
After running anti-virus program, adaware, spybot and cwshredder, click IE and all goes well, number is dialed, connection is made with IP but (cannot display web page).
no matter what page it will not display. I installed a network card with the same results (cannot display web page). Had IE6 went back to 5.5 still no results. I did ping test and all goes well but cannot display web page.

any ideas before I reinstall 98se??

Try the tool mentioned in this FAQ: faq779-4625. Even thought it's in the XP forum, it will work for Win98.

Man you just saved my a$$, this has been about to beat me.
