1 x Exchange 2003 SP1 server in active directory
1 x Exchange 5.5 SP4 server in an NT4.0 network
Both servers are in the same exchange organisation.
We have added some new test users to AD and they are mailbox enabled. However when we try and connect to the mailbox using Outlook 2003, we get the error: "This name could not be resolved. The bookmark is not valid."
Furthermore we are getting an error when trying to open the properties of the MSMail connector from Exchange 2003 to the Exchange 5.5 server. The error is:
"The specified module could not be found.
Facility: win32
ID no: c007007e
Exchange System Manager"
We have got exchange communicating on LDAP port 390 and AD on LDAP port 389 as recommended by Microsoft.
We have tried to go through the steps in kbid 297801 but when we reach step 4, we cannot get the user to appear in the GAL via ldp.exe
Are the above connected or are we dealing with multiple errors? Either way we have hit a wall and need help before we make the £199 call to Microsoft.
Thanks guys
