I'm trying to write a VB program that will load a DB, after wards I will spawn a web browser to see different parts of the db.

Now where I need help is on is connecting a web browser to the DB. I know that this can be do with ASP but I don't want a clent/server connection, I wish for everything to stay local on one PC.

If I use PWS will this work?

Help?

Well if your machine is running the server, technically you are both server and client.

The client must conect to the server if it is going to transfer the db query, there is no other way.

But this will work, mind you I don't really know what you mean by VB program - an exe you mean, or an ASP app?

A program might be able to transfer data by http - you would know, if you wrote it?

If it is just for personal records - just write a db interface in ASP - no worries, then you can just use your browser.

Are you still making your gaming thing?
