This is easy - invalid character in INSERT statement

Does anybody know what characters are considered "invalid" by Access when writing to a table? In a "Docmd.RunSQL Insert into..." statement I am encountering an invalid character, but aside from the single quote, I don't know what the invalid characters are.
The Help menu was no help and none of my books list them. Please let me know where I can find a list.
