This iis a strange one. Wierd behavior in split form. A2007

I have a split form (one ofthe new form types in 2007), our users seem to really like them. Anyway, in the left most column (where the new record indicator is located with the "*") I am noticing an icon resembling a circle with a slash thru it. Like a record pointer or something.
Can anyone explain this. Its wierd.
