i just upgraded a 501 to 6.3.3 and now this

"Checksum verification on uncompressed PIX image failed"

i get this on POST then it reboots it's self
on next boot i get

"Cryptochecksum(unchanged): 9b60632f df630cb6 bad9806b ba0e861e"

what does that mean

It means the PIX couldn't verify the checksum on the first boot but it did on the second. If it happens often you may want to reload the software.

Good luck,

FredUG

Panic: kernel - The checksum verification for this image failed.

There´s a utility called erasedisk.bin it erases the complete flash memory, you use it the same way as if you were upgrading the OS on the PIX. After you erase the flash contents you have to load the OS from monitor mode. I would give that a try and if it does not solve the issue then it may be your flash. Just make sure you save your activation key and your configuration because it erases EVERYTHING. Unfortunately I lost the utility but if anyone out there has it I would also like to get hold of it.

i opened a case with cisco so we will see..... thanks

update

Cisco support

"Hello Brock,
I found that this is a problem with your HW, so we'll have to proceed with an RMA for the PIX."
