OM
I have a very long back problem with one of my MD110.
Earlier my collegues were maintaining the system.Unfortunately what happened here (OMAN,MUSCAT)was none of the Diavox is working with the MD which are having analogue trunk lines connected.Digital lines are ok.The problem what we faced are the Diavox will not detect the DTMF tones.For example if I dil 777 it says that 77 is not a valuable number, again autoattend message will come.This happens only when a call is coming thru the trunk lines, what I mean is If I dial the group hunt for the VM internally the autoattend message comes and if I dial 777 it will go to the ext.777. Ericsson engineer visited this e and he checked all the system and finally concluded that the problem is with the TRUNK LINES. But what surprised me is I am using a third party autoattend (MATRIX) and is working fine with MD.
but only problem is it is limited to 500 ports.
Here we have an installation with 1500 extensions and Diavox is not at all working and we cant go for MATRIX as it is limited to 500 ports. So another one PC based we have fixed here and autoattend is working fine,but in busy condition it will go back to the autoattend message again.The engineer from the third party is saying that is because of the call transfering procedure and recall procedure of the MD is different from other PABX'S.
What it means is In some PABX'S to transfer a call give a hookflash and dial the extension number and wait for the extension to answer and not answering I want to go back to the caller who is on hold again do a hook flash and get back the call. This is not happenig in MD. In MD make a hook flash dial the extn. and not answering ,to take back the call press the hook switch for a while and MD rings back and can answer the hold call.In the other 500 port system there was two hookflash so it was working fine with MD. The PC based has only one hook flash ,hookflash once to hold again do a hook flash to get back the call. Any body can help me in finding a solution for this?
Waiting for any response....

Hi Jaylek,

It looks that PSTN trunks have weak response for post dialling. Try to increase Diavox sensetivity by the following steps:
1- Quit VM
2- Run D:\RUNDIR\EDITVM
3- Goto SYSTEM HARDWARE CONFIG. (7)
4- Goto TOUCH-TONE VERI. DELAY DURING PLAYBACK (2)
5- Change it to 1
5- Goto TOUCH-TONE VERI. DELAY DURING RECORDING (3)
6- Change it to 1

I hove it helps

/BR

Thanks NIUX ,

Itried this but this didnt help me . Any other way we can increase the sensitivity, like recording of DTMF.. which I heard from Diavox. But I put a third party Autoattend and solved the autoattend issue. If u have someother tips regarding Diavox welcome

Thanks for ur reply

Jaylek

Hi Jaylek,

- First please can you change the valuse to Zero and Zero.

- If there is no improvment, can you decrease the greeting volume by changing (9- Play back volume Adjustment..) inorder to allow DTMF to be more clear during greeting.
Change it from 1 to 3 or 4. (i.e. from 2dB to +6 or +8dB).

- If there is no improvment, then you have to decrease the dB level in the connection between Trunks to voice extensions in MD110.
The Voice Mail extensions will be given a new free TRM value, then by SACOS command you can change the Transmission Matrix values from that new TRM to Trunk TRM.

Can you print the following:

CADAP;
SACOP:LIM=1,SECTOR=REL,UNIT=SCP,ADDR=50&&90;
LSATP:LIM=1;
ROCAP:ROU=ALL;
EXCAP:DIR= (VM exts);

Thanks.

Hi Jeylek,

As I can see, the attenuation values from TRM 3 to 4 (addr=6D) is 02=0dB and 4 to 3 (addr=74) is 02=0dB
So you can change it to -3dB by the following command:

SACOS:UNIT=SCP,LIM=1,SECTOR=REL,ADDR=6D&74,DATA=1;
Then try calling.

If you feel that it is not accepted than try -6dB by:
SACOS:UNIT=SCP,LIM=1,SECTOR=REL,ADDR=6D&74,DATA=0;

The voice volume will improved too.

By the way, your system version is not BC9, it is BC10 CNA140 and I recommend to upgrade it to CNA142.

Hi NIUX,

Thanks for the valuable information, Sorry for the wrong information. The details which I send to u is from BC10 , but what i mean was the same problem is there with the BC 10 also ( both bc9 & bc 10 have the problem) . I will try ur way to increase the speech quality ( now this is very poor in the BC10),if this helps me ,sure I had acheived something great which was a question mark for me as two Engineers visited here have not tried this ways. IF it improves the speech ,that is the first priority for me to do it rather than the Autoattend.

Thanks once again NIUX,
I will let u know the details

bye.

Hai Niux,

I changed the values, and what i fell is there is improvement in the speech level. Now it is under observation for two days. so I was very happy to hear from u these things as two engineers visited here had not tried this????.

Iwill update with u,

Thanks once again,

Jaylek

Hai Niux,

Speech has improved. Thanks a lot

Jaylek.
