Thinnest 100Mb ethernet cable (for travel)?

My work requires me to plug a laptop into a variety of different networks. I have to carry a 15' cat5 cable with me in my bag and it takes a lot of room. Is it possible to make a cable that contains only the 2 pairs (and therefore would be thinner) and still achieve 100Mb?

Yes. Cat5 is available in at least 2 to 25 pair configurations. Siemon makes some nice stranded 2 pair Cat5. I have several 2 pair Cat5's that came form 3Com with various products.

So look around...
