Hello,

I'm working on a customers ThinkPad 600E... I was adding a NIC and now it won't boot. When I turn the machine on, it does a memory test, then shows a graphic that suggests it wants a floppy inserted. It doesn't appear to recognize the HD at all. It will boot to a floppy but still doesn't recognize the HD.

I went into the BIOS and did a system test. There appeared to be a memory problem (it said 256MB installed but only 96MB usable) and it skipped the HD tests.

Is this a HD problem? Is it a memory problem? Something else? How can I get it to boot from the HD again?

Thanks,
Scott
