Anyone try installing and running the thick client on Vista?

I wouldn't try unless you like to putz around. Nortel is not spending any effort on Classic Client anymore.

It may work, but it probably won't.

There's still the CCMS-SU, which does the voice prompt editor, and other tasks that still can't be accomplished via CCMA though.

SWC 4.5 came after Thick Client and Vista won't be supported as a client platform accessing SWC 4.5. So this is a dead giveaway that Thick Client will not be supported either.

But as suggested, you can try it out.

I have not tried it yet, but vista comes with a basic Vm. In the VM you could run XP ,and load the fat click there.

Not the best work around, but a thought.

I have installed the fat client on a VM (XP pro) that runs on vista.
VM is MS virtual PC 2007(Free) VM is not perfect, but the fat client works on it.
