I'm using CR 10 and my client wants a thermometer chart which has his budget goal at the top of the thermometer and the months actual sales as 1 level and MTD buget figure as the second level, increasing each day as revenue is added. Is there a way to do this with the custom chart tool??

Dear Mwake,

I can't think of how to do it as you stated in your issue.

But, I would suggest that you show it as a percentage of goal. The current sum(sales)divided by goal (use the % operator) would give you the percentage reached.

Set the chart up as a horizontal bar chart, Choose For All Records, move the (summary) formula you used to calculate the percentage over to the right (show value) where it becomes sum % to Goal.

Set the min and max data values manually to 0 and 100. There will only be one bar showing the percentage reached to 100 (Budget Goal).

I hope that helps,
