I got two Tek-Tip related eMail messages this morning. The first was from Gavin (Gavona). He stated, with respect to one of my FAQ's regarding Dynamic Named Ranges...
Thank you, so much, for taking the time to point this out to me. You are a valuable contributor to Tek-Tips."
The second message announced the TipMaster of the Week thing.
While honored by this, I am also humbled and encouraged to realize that thousands of my Tek-Tip colleagues around the world have knowledge and experience that I fail to possess, and yet are willing to share in this venue.
Not to mention that I gladly and gratefully took Gavin's advise, and modified my FAQ. Thank you. Gavin, and Thank you Tek-Tips!
Ain't Tek-Tips Great!

I replied, in part, "I merely massaged the recorded code, without giving too much thought to how it might be further streamlined. But what a great simplification! Why didn't I think of that!Gavin said:hi Skip,
I don't understand why so many folk use ActiveWorkbook.Names.Add _ etc
rather than:
Range("Database").CurrentRegion.Name = "Database"
Unless there is good reason then I suggest the FAQ is simplified.
Regards, Gavin
