There is a way to use the Shared mod in CREATE DATABASE DBC -> local view?

Im find this: The database is opened for exclusive use, regardless of the SET EXCLUSIVE setting. Since the CREATE DATABASE command itself opens the database after it is created, there is no need to additionally issue the OPEN DATABASE command.

Sasha, I'm not sure what you mean by "Shared mod in CREATE DATABASE DBC -> local view". However, in general, you are right that CREATE DATABASE leaves the database open in exclusive mode, regardless of SET EXCLUSIVE. But there is nothing stopping you from closing the database and then re-opening it, in which case you can add EXCLUSIVE or SHARED to the OPEN DATABASE command. If you don't add either of those, the SET EXCLUSIVE setting will apply.

Does that answer your question?

Mike
