There are running jobs

// AIX 5.1.4
When I do newgrp - , the prompt hangs with "There are running jobs" message.
If I do ctrl + c, it releases the hung screen and shows the correct newgrp I was trying to newgrp to.
When I exit from the prompt to another, it always shows "There are running jobs".

How do you find the cause and 'running jobs' and fix?

It sounds as if you are leaving a session before jobs you have set off in the background (possibly by a login script?) have finished. Try typing jobs to see them before you exit.

I want to be good, is that not enough?
