Themes in Windows 7 stop rotating

I select a new theme in Windows 7, and for a while they rotate through the whole slideshow, then it stops rotating and stays on just one slide. This happens on all of the themes.

Any suggestions?

This will sometimes happen to me if I log on close to the hour (I have mine set for hourly rotation) or if my anitvirus decides to update at about the same time that the desktop is supposed to change. The easiest solution is just to right click on the desktop and click on "Next desktop background". That seems to kick start the rotation again.

Thanks to both of you for replying. I reset a new theme and will try the methods suggested. It probably will only take a day before happening again, so I will get back when it happens to let you know the outcome.

I fought this for months. Tried all solutions (to no avail!). Got used to "Next desktop background". Suddenly about a month ago, it started working normally. Updates? Clock? I don't know! Everything has been OK, so I never figured out why!
