This is half question, half tip: a recent development in SE algorithm is the use of Themed web site construction. This is where the SE will not only look for relevant file names and titles, but the directory it sits in as well. For example, if you were a big shop that sold everything from underwear to cars, you'd put each relevant page within a directory called "underwear" or "cars". Likewise you might want to create a tips section, so you'd create a directory called "tips".

This is my basic understanding of themed-based SE optimisation, but my question is can anyone enlighten me any more on this new subject? The Demon

Here is how i see the problem:
1. U need to setup an template for all your products.
2. U need to create an at least 2 databases one, let's say, id_category(PK) and category_description and one with id_category(FK) id_product(PK) and the other fields of interests.(u can store in this table all the information about the product(pictures,info...))
3. U create an SE based on the first database(by category) or just based on the client choice and then search in the seccond database.
4. U printout all the search result page by page and when the user clicks on one item u use the template to show the product with all data.

I think this is an good ideea to create an generaly SE for any products.
U dont need to create the dirs based on the category or to store any information to HDD all u need is to store the infos to database.
U use the template to insert an product in database.

I hope this gives you ideeas, cuz i did that and i'm satisfied. ________

My apologies, George, I don't think I explained myself very well. I was actually after some tips as a web developer in building a site that is optimised for themed-based search engines (not how to create a SE itself!). I want to know what I shoud bear in mind when building my web site directories, files names etc. The Demon
