Hi,

I am new to the VPN & RAS stuff, correct me if i am wrong.

Basically i wanted outside users to dial into
our network through internet.

My domain name is "XYZ".
I have a Domain Controller "A" in our network for XYZ.
I have another 2000 server "B" with 2 network cards, one
with an external IP adrress and another with the internal
IP address.

I have configured this system "B" as RAS remote access server. Users can dial from outside and get to this system.

I had created 2 users( "vpn1" & vpn2 )
in "B" server local system, with
dial up permission ( these are not network users, but
local users).

So users whenever they dial to box "B" they give
these usernames (vpn1 or vpn2) to get to the network.

There are getting authenticated and able to get to
our network.

Now when a remote dialup users try to map a shared
folder on some system on the network , he get this
error message

"the trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed."

Why are they getting this error ?

Do i have to create users at the domain controller and
use the same id's for the dial up users to login to
our network?

Please help.
--Thanks
Catherine
