I’ve invested in a copy of vb.net in fear of being left behind if I didn’t keep up. I have found the transition from vb6 to vb.net a very difficult one. I would like to hear comments from those of you who may be closer to the programming industry than I and may have more insight into what the future of vb6 holds. First, is vb.net being accepted by the vb programming community? Is it likely to replace vb6 in the mainstream soon? Should existing code which is frequently updated be converted from vb6 to vb.net? Am I the only one who wants vb6 to remain alive? (I think this happened to Novel Netware, V4 remained their best seller even after V6 was on the shelves)

I am actually very interested in others comments as well. I have not made the jump yet to vbNet but have heard some good things about it with regards to web deployment etc...but am very nervous about jumping to it as it could cause more grief then just staying in the vb6 platform.
