Hi,
Using Crystal 2008 and Crystal enterprise XI-3

I have a report with 3 parameters and one of them is date range set as option. When auto scheduling; Report failed with the error message "The specified value type is different to the current value type" I am pass blank to the date range. I am sure that must be the cause for the error.

Anyone please suggest or advice how to get around?

Thanks,
RR

When you created the prompt, did you set the "Optional Prompt" property to True? If not, try that. I think when you run the report you'll then have the option to check a box on the parameters screen that says to use a null value. Note that when you set it to a range, you have to enter BOTH values. If you want users to be able to enter just one value, you should create separate Start Date and End Date parameters.

Here is the really issue I am facing. I am able to run the report thru CMC with nu value to the date range(optional)but we are using a .csv file to pass multiple values to the report and kick it off thru a shell script and we get the error
