Does anyone know the answer to this:

When Sedna becomes available, will I be able to use FoxPro syntax in the Visual Studio development environment to develop .NET applications?

Thanks.

Hi Tony.

No, that's not what Sedna is about. It provides components that extend VFP. For example, the NET4COM component provides a wrapper for some .NET functions that you can use in VFP code. The My namespace provides a library of easily used functions that's similar to the My namespace in Visual Basic 2005.

You can download the latest Sedna Community Technology Preview (CTP) from the VFP home page ( It isn't quite finished but most of the components are there.

Bummer. Long lost wish.

The FoxPro Toolkit is workable, but nobody seems to be updating it. It was created two Visual Studio versions ago.

I started testing it when it came out, but found some bugs.

If I knew enough about this I would give the source code a look over, but I'm getting too old for this sort of thing.

Thanks.
