Hi,

We had an issue with Pervasive (we're using 7 sp 5) today and would be grateful for any input. I attempted to access pervasive data via VB and ADO (as we have done for the past 3 years) but today I received the following error message:

[Pervasive Software][ODBC Interface][Pervasive Software SQL Engine] The secondary columns you defined have no matching indexes.

I looked at the Pervasive Monitor which allowed me in but gave me the following error:

Unable to get the version of the scalable sql communications component. The communications session with the remote server is no longer valid. Verify that all of the communications components are loaded on the remote server and that there are available sessions and try again. Look in the pvsw.log for details.

The pvsw log had the following in it:

09-08-2003 10:03:20 W3NSL108 00000235 N\W32SSMON.EXE" DBHASBKMASTER E 00000402 3111: Status 10054 returned while sending 70 bytes.

The scalable sql part of pervasive could not be accessed through pervasive monitor or the set up. I rebooted the server and it has been OK since. I was wondering if anyone had ever come across this before.

Thanks,
Tom

It happened again today :( Looks like the number of remote sessions for the scalable sql was st to 15 - I'm going to set it to 100 to see if that improves things at all.
