The RPC server is unavailable

When trying to install a printer in Win NT Server 4.0 I get a message saying
Operation could not be completed The RPC Server is unabailable

This usually occurs if either spoolss.exe or spoolss.dll are either missing from the system32 folder or if the files are corrupt. Copy these files from another NT machine and then reinstall your current service pack. Also make sure the RPC Service startup is set to automatic.

Also check your maxmpxct and maxworkitems settings in the following regkey....

HKLM\system\ccs\services\lanmanserver\parameters

If the keys aren't there then add them as REG_DWORD

Try increasing these values..........
