the required storage unit is unavailable(219)

Hi:
I recently just changed my tapes on the hp surestore dat 40x6. Now everytime I try to do a manual backup I receive an error message saying "the required storage unit is unavailable(219". The veritas software that I am currently running is veritas netbackup busines server version 4.5GA. I have tried re-configure the volumes, but still does not work. I also created a new volume pool, but everytime I try to add new volumes I receive "Could not add volume(s): robotic volume positions is already in use(37). Any help to solve these problems is appreciated.

Have you rebooted the tape device?

Is your tape device listed in the Hardware listing? If not, select Add/Remove Hardware Devices and go through the screens to add it back in (Choose the troubleshooting not the add/remove option).
