The requested media failed to mount

I am running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition. When I run a scheduled NTBackup, the backup process strarts fine. However, about 3/4 of the way through the process, I am getting a message saying "The requested media failed to mount. The operation did not complete."

Microsoft has a fix for a similar problem for Small Business Server 2003, but it will not run on Server 2003. I did see another post in this forum from over a year ago, but there was no reply/solution.

Has anyone experienced this problem and/or have the solution?
