in InfoView, is there a way to prevent / save the user from typing in the ODBC username and password in order to view the report?

I have logged onto the Business View Manager opened my data connection and have set my data connection password and have set runtime prompt mode to "Never Prompt"

I will have customers logging into the system and ideally do not want them to have access to the ODBC username and password.

Thanks,

Leigh

Have you also set the database login/password details for each Report Object in the CMC..?

You can find that setting under the PROCESS -> DATABASE tabs for each OBJECT.

If you permit "View On Demand", you will also need to update the WHEN VIEWING REPORT setting at the bottom to "Use same database logon as when report is run".

This needs to be done for each Object.

Thanks MJRBIM,

Going into the CMC and setting the object parameters worked and no longer asks the user for database login credentials.
