The protocol I used in my network is TCP/IP

When I tried to access a workgroup (I belong to another workgroup), the error prompted

"Workgroup_AAA is not accessible. You might not have permission to use the network resources.

The network path is not found"

What causes this message? Is there a broadcast storm that prevent one to access the workgroup?

When I tried to search for a particular PC in the workgroup, it could be found and I can access to the share folder of that PC.

check the permissions set for other users on the resource u are trying to access....

good luck..

Well, when I tried to access on the weekend whereby no one is working, I have no problem accessing this workgroup.

But when I access it during weekdays, especially in the afternoon, I am not able to access this workgroup. Could it be broadcaststorm? All the client in this workgroup is using (only) TCP/IP.

CHECK THE SPEED OF THE NETWORK AND HOW MUCH BANDWIDTH YOU ARE ALLOCATED, IT SEEMS YOU CANNOT ACCESS THE WORKGROUP AT BUISY TIMES!

It's funny, I cannot access the workgroup but when I did a search computer, I can find it and access into it. Could this also due to the congestion in the network?

Doubtful whether this is purely broadcast storms, they tend to be more sporadic. However, get hold of Ethereal ( or sniffer or NetX-ray and look at what is going on.If you see lots of broadcasts (some are normal network behaviour) and there are collisions, etc then this could be the problem.

Probably more likely is permissions, whether you logged on to the network correctly, etc.

Hard to be more specific but follow the symptoms rather than grabbing at one thing. (not too condescending I hope ;o) )
