Hello, everyone.

I'm using Actuate7 recently, but am very new.
Nobody knows about Actuate7 well, so pls give me advice.

I try to execute e-report on the web, but
everytime I try, I receive undermentioned Error Message.

---------------------------------------------------------
Database Error
3:Failed to login to Database.
12154: ORA-12154 : TNS : Couldn't solve TNS Service Name.
----------------------------------------------------------

I can't find out reason.
ppl who experienced same error, who could solve this
problem, pls give me advice.....

Thanks.
Have a good day.

The problem is in you connection component and is an Oracle fault. The hoststring must correspond to an oracle DB you have configured a connection to.

You are trying to connect to a TNS service that you don't have configured. If oracle references the TNS services on the server (tnsnames.ora) then check there for that SID, if it's there then check your connection in Actuate
