The Operation was cancelled due to an internal error

Hi,

When I provision and assign a disk volume to an existing Windows 2003 Enterprise server from SUN StorEdge 6020, I am unable to initialize the volume. The disk is visible to the OS, but I receive an error: "The Operation was cancelled due to an internal error".

Why is it so? Your advice will be much appreciated. Thank you very much.

Would it be possible for you to post the complete System Event Log message? You can do this by bringing up the Event Viewer, then double-click on the offending message. A new dialog box will appear showing you the message text and raw event data. On the right there are three buttons (up, down, copy). Select the copy button, then paste it into your response. For example:
