Hello everyone,
I'm hoping you can guide me through a problem. I am experiencing the same problem found in this thread thread181-1047533. It involves trying to install a MODS package on an XP machine and getting the error message: "The Office System Pack cannot be installed on this system because it requires Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 or later". The author indicates that he solved this but doesn't mention how. I can't find any other reference to this in the archives. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Searching the MSKB at Support.microsoft.com for that message exactly turns up article 837150 "You may receive error messages when you install an Access 2002 runtime deployment package on a computer that is running Windows XP SP2 or Windows Server 2003"

I assume this will fix your problem as I have not had the problme nor read the article. The author in the thread said he found the solution in the MSKB.

Thank you very much! I found the article just after I posted. I was just coming back to update my own posting and found your reply.
Incidentally, the article did fix my problem. I had to go into a text configuration file and delete a line that referes to dbmsadms.dll. After that everything is working. I wonder why it only happens on this XP machine and not on all the others? Oh, well another mystery....

Thanks again,

Lamar
