I'm getting the error message when I enter data in a field on a subform: "The object doesn't contain the automation object tblTEST". The form is based on a query.

Here is what I am doing. My main form has Actor Info. My subform allows the user to choose what scenes he's in by entering the scene number. That populates the rest of the scene fields.

If I run just the subform, it gets no errors but when I run it as a subform on the Main form, I get the above error. And, if I just click OK to get past the error, my data is entered and correct.

I searched all over for "Automation Object" but came up short.

Remou:

After noodling with this for hours, I just deleted the form, the query on which it was based and started over. The second time, however, I did not get the error. As far as I can tell I replicated my previous steps.

However, the link you sent regarding forms and subforms is very helpful.

Many thanks.
