the nonstatic main....

Greetings.

Back when I was in school- say 5 years ago, the professor seemed to like to write his code using a non-static main() method. I forget how he did it and all, but now that I'm actually using JAVA its perking my curiosity as he said it was a common practice.

I know that the book learned world is not always in tune with realty... Any thoughts?

i'm not sure this is possible...

It must be declared static because it is being called on the class, not on a specific instance.
