Can anyone tell me how to determine the path to MySQL database. I am trying to connect with localhost and it simply won't. Everything else is absolutely correct. Must be the path that is the problem.
Is there a way to determine this without asking someone. Hey whats the path? Can't you tell by looking at the file structure in Dreamweaver or something?
This is so annoying!
Please help.
Thanks.

I am not sure you mean path...
MySQL Database runs as a server ... you connect to it through sockets or more likely tcp/ip connection
Connecting to localhost means you are connecting to the database on the local machine.
You need to check to see if the database server is running .... if it is then look at the logs to see why you cannot connect. First try and connect using the mysql client, if that works then you can have a look at why dreamweaver cannot connect.
