The MicroSoft Jet databse engine stopped the process.. 1

I get the following error when I try to open my db.

"The MicroSoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time."

I was updating a query when acess 2003 stopped responding and I rebooted the pc. Now I get this error. Nobody else uses this db and it's installed on my laptop.

I looked to see if there was a .ldb file I needed to kill and these not. I can't even compact/repair the db nor import it's componets into a new db.

Anyone has any ideas? I can't afford to loose everything and start over. I know, should have made a backup!

Two suggestions:
Perhaps your Database engine got corrupted or you need to update it. Check out Microsoft's KB article

Also, Jet compact utility, JETCOMP.exe, may be able to recover your corrupted database. You may want to try this option first. Go to Microsoft's KB article
