hi,
Some of my users are experiencing problems which prevent them from replying to e-mail and sending new mails.
We are not using PST files but Outlook 2002 configured to use an Exchange 2003 mailbox.
The symptoms include:
1: The error message "The messaging Interface returned and unknown error. If the problem persists restart Outlook"
2: When replying to mails in the inbox the reply address is shown as "=SMTP:username@domain.co.uk"
These 2 together are causing massive problems in our exchange environment.
I cant seem to find any 1 key to the problem as it seems to be happening intermittently on all 3 of our Terminal Servers! The only connection I can find is that all Clients use the same Exchange server.
I have updated the Office 2002 installs to 2002 SP3 as they were not service packed and am writing this without testing it (its Sunday!)
Can anybody help or has anyone had this problem on their servers. Ias it a MAPI problem or possibly an LDAP problem.
We have a 2003 domain 1 DNS server. Clients access Outlook and Office using Terminal Services so a reinstall would mean lots of work.
Thanks ;-)
James
