the library has been manually turned offline?

Although backups are successful, I am occassionally getting the message "the library has been manually turned offline and is unavailable for use" Can anybody tell me what this means? I have checked event viewer for any power outages and there are none. The next message in the activity report after approx 10 mins is "catalog file backed up" Maybe this is a clue!! Running Arcserve 2000 on W2K server (Dell Poweredge) with DDS4 Autochanger
