Hi
I've installed a dc30 capture card and enabled the media/video options for this card in the kernel. Compliled and installed it...
But it cannot seem to find my capture card...
its says the following at dmesg
zoran Video capture
found pci card at irq 9
MJPEG 0
found no sutiable mjpeg card...

This is weired, I'v tried three different distros on two different machines. They work fine in windows.
How can it say that is finds a card, but it is not suitable, even though it has its own dedicated driver modules.

HELP.............

make sure that the modules are either compiled into the kernel or that you have modprobe'd the driver modules.

If you compiled them as modules, make sure that you did not forget the make modules and make modules_install steps.

Also make sure that the new kernel is the one being booted up from lilo / grub.

you might also want to check out,

HTH,
