Hi - I'm running a copy of AutoCAD 2000LT at work, and I have a problem: in all my drawings there is a "phantom" viewport floating around in my layouts - it is a single viewport that I did NOT create... the screen does not display the VP's frame unless you double click the inside of it, and it has no reaction to selecting it (either by window or crossing window) and so cannot be deleted.

Usually it floats around somewhere below my paperspace, so it isn't important, but I would really like to get rid of it.

Thanks!

Give this a try. Type in

(ssget "x" '((0 . "VIEWPORT")))

and then type

ERASE

and then

P (for previous)

Set if it creates a selection set of the viewport.

Borgunit's suggetsion won't work since you are using an LT version - doesn't support lisp.

Maybe it's an OLE object. Does anything hapen when you right click on the object, or right click after double-clicking?

Absolutely nothing - it acts like it doesn't exist when it is unselected, and acts just like any other viewport when selected.

Ha! That was it exactly! Thank you guys so much - tht hjas been bugging me for months now - who'da thought it would be THAT simple?
