We are mainly using the .NET 2.0 Framework. I'm hearing about a lot of new things that are coming out (actually are already out) and was wondering what everyone thought about some of them and what I should focus on.

Here is what I've been hearing about.
Silverlight
LINQ
MVC Framwork
The new windows foundations (WPF, WCF, etc).

Anyone have any thoughts on these?

I know this is objective, but I would certainly like to hear some arguments (for or against).

Thanks,

J

you should focus on tools that increase productivity. for example: if your applications require alot of filtering the linq would be worth researching. it's all about querying objects.

If you need to provide a richer user experience then sliverlight may be worth investigating.

If you find webforms to be cubmersome to work with then MS MVC could help simplify presenting information.

the same is true of the other technologies.
