The farm has lost its METRIC servers

One morning all thin clients and Citrix Client connections got the error "Protocol Driver ERROR".

There were no TCP/IP or HTTP connectivity problem.
What we did was to restart IM service in all META servers and suddenly ONE of them became the METRIC server of the FARM.

We have tried to find some hints in the event Viewer without any progress.

Any clue!!!

SAIS,
So do you remember which server was your metric servers?
If so, you can simply change the current Metric server to your orginal Metric server by going into the Resource Manager configuration.

You should be able to choose a drop down menu and choose your original Metric server. The only thing you are affecting right now is the collection of historical data (IF...the current Metric server doesn't have the ODBC confgiured to point to your RM DB).
