I've created a breakpoint within a MS access 2003 form module. The debug function seems to be disabled. Where can I find out why the breakpoint(s) do not work? I even put a breakpoint in an obvious place that should immediately be detected and work. It's ignored! I put a msgbox (it works) just before it.

Help!

Hi,

Seems that certain ActiveX controls in a procedure, won't allow a break.

I'm trying to insert a breakpoint into the click event of a regular button.

I thought I should provide you with a little more important information. I created my own mdb with forms and modules within it. The breakpoints work just fine. This is on the same PC! This is why I think that debug is somehow disable.

Please help!

After hammering away at this issue I FOUND OUT What the!
The breakpoint would not work when I opened the mdb file.
I just had to open the app while holding down the shift key.
Clicking on Tools/StartUP. Make sure that the "Display Database Window" option is checked. I checked the other seemly applicable boxes also. Closed the project. Reopened it while holding the shift key and finally got the breakpoints to work. I'll never forget this issue's solution. (I hope). Thanks you guys/gals for all your past help. I thought I should provide this scenario's remedy.

Specifically, make sure the "Use Special Keys" check box is checked!!!!!
