I have a database in a .mde file (Access XP format) on a network drive G:\...\...\xxx.mde. The database contains ~10 forms with VBA code and ~10 tables linked to two other .mdb files. Up to four users at each time use the .mde file true Citrix MetaFrame with Win 2000.
During the first 3 months there were no problems at all. But some days ago one user called me saying he got an error, The Database G:\...\...\xxx.mde needs to be repaird or is not a Database file. You or some other user may have closed MS Access with the database open.....
I tried to put in a new copy of the .mde file. Saved the backupcopy of the .mdb file as .mde. After the first tthe users could use the .mde file for 2,5 day before it got damaged. The last time only 4 hours.
I have built code to force the user to close the application in a correct way. The problem is that When the user leave the computer for more then 1 hour Metaframe automaticly logout the user and kill Access.
Users have been kick out all the time since the start 3 monts ago without any problem.
Any tip, how to solve the problem.
