Hi ,
We are in process of migrating from Crystal 8.5 to CE 10.
I have a report that works fine on my desktop .When i publish it to the CMC/Crystal web and try to refresh it it gives me error -
"The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect".
Ofcourse the database login information is correct.I am using OLEDB for SQLServer.We stoped using ODBC since it never refreshes the report with ODBC.
With Oledb and the same configaration(oledb) some reports work fine.
Any clue for my problem woiuld be appreciated.

Hi,

Are you logging onto the appropriate services with administrator privileges? If not, sometimes this can cause problems.

As far as I can remember the Crystal Page Server, Report Job Server and Web Component Server may need to be logged on as domain administrators. To do this, open Services from the Control Panel (in Administrator Tools) then right click on the appropriate service and select properties. Select the Log On tab then select the 'This account' radio button and enter the details for a domain administrator. OK this, restart the service then repeat for the other two.

Hi,
I have run into that error sometimes when migrating from 8.5 to 10..I usually resolved it by using the Process..DataBase.. tab and setting a custom connection ( to the same one as the saved one)..for some reason this resolved it..
( Be sure the 'Prompt user for Login' is not checked..)
