The damned finders

Is there any way I could setup the finders when I am trying to open documents to show me recent documents instead of documents from 1997 first ?

When I search for item numbers and things like that its fine to have the order by alphabetic order but for documents this extremely annoying, there must be a way to default by document date descending so this way I would have the recently created documents. We have a company that is running since 1997 and keeping all the history.

Try using the Find By filters. Or if you enter a starting value in the document field then the finder will display from that value onwards.

Or clear history. 1997 seriously???
I just finished upgrading a company that had shit going back to 1991. I bet if I had cleared it then no one would have noticed.
