The custom tool 'CrystalDecisions.VSDesigner.CodeGen.ReportCodeGenerat

I keep getting the following error:

C:\Amber\a-tek\Abitibi\Woodlands\FFIMS New\FFIMS\FFIMS.UI.Winforms\Administration\Reports\rptVolByCat.rpt The custom tool 'CrystalDecisions.VSDesigner.CodeGen.ReportCodeGenerator' failed. The located assembly's manifest definition with name 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.Designer.Interfaces' does not match the assembly reference.

I was running VS.2003 with the built in CR, now have purchased CR XI -

The only help I can find on this error online is to change the custom tool property to CrystalDecisions.VSShell.CodeGen.ReportCodeGenerator, but then although it allows me to build, I get the error in my task list:
