The COM + Event System detected a corrupt IEventSubscription object. The COM + Event System has removed object ID {980ABF61-C4E7-4EF0-82CE-2AFF4008AD86}. The subscriber will no longer be notified when the event occurs.

The above warning is a re-occuring one in the application log of the event viewer. I have no idea what it means, but am concerned that something is wrong with the system.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

It does not imply something wrong with your system.

It is likely some software you are using is employing the transient subscription service and not doing so properly.

Make sure your Service Pack level for Win2k is up to date.

I have the most up-to-date service pack and updates.
Thanks for the advice.
