Hi all,

I have an Ip office 8.1 , I added my codes to ARS 50 MAIN example as follows 225XXXX---Dial----225N----line group 4----force authorisation code is checked. If the Boss lifts the receiver dials 9 + 2251234 + authorisation code + # the call goes through OK. HOwever he wants to call without using any Code . As I said before i have ( Force Authorzation Code) checked in the code in ARS 50 main. How do i go around this so he dials from his phone in his office 9 + 2251234 only and that call will go through.

please help

shortcode in user form 9N;/N/Dial/0

A simple mind delivers great solutions

Well, it wouldn't be 9N;/N/Dial/0, it would be 9N;/N/Dial/4, but same diff, I guess. That will send calls directly out to the trunks.
Might be nicer to build a separate ARS just for him, call it bigbossman.
Put on his user, a shortcode of 9N/Dial/N/51:BigBossMan

Then you can set up all those fancy 225xxxx codes for him as well, without auth codes.

Joe,

Here is a useful rule of thumb.

Everything that is dialled happens in this order:

1st) Users and all their short codes happen first and override ARS and System short codes, and user Extns and hunt groups are matched before the dialled digits are handed to system short codes and then dialled off switch.
2nd) System Short codes, system dial, number matching etc.
3rd) ARS - with the exception of TAPI which Im certain always dials via the MAIN ARS and not your main system short code dial code (i.e) ? / . / Dial/ LGID - Note if also you DONT have a main dialling code like what I just mentioned then the system will look for your MAIN ARS route.
