Im fairly new to BO..can someone give me a clear description of Measure, Dimension and Detail.........

Yeah, its a good thread, but I think I need a more simplified explanation of each object........

Consider having a customer.

The customernumber (unique) would be the dimension
The customername (non-unique) could be a detail on the customer dimension.
The sales revenu in dollars for the customer will be a measure.


This is as simple an explanation as I could think of...
